Recent ICD-10 Changes Implemented by CMS

CMS has rencently made some changes to accepted ICD-10 codes required for billing.  In all there were only two codes that were in DSCtop that have become invalid. All new codes have been updated in DSCtop.  The invalid codes, along with the new codes are below:

 F42 Obsessive-compulsive disorder – INVALID

F42.2 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code F42.2 Mixed obsessional thoughts and acts
F42.3 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code F42.3 Hoarding disorder
F42.4 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code F42.4 Excoriation (skin-picking) disorder
F42.8 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code F42.8 Other obsessive-compulsive disorder
F42.9 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code F42.9 Obsessive-compulsive disorder, unspecified
 K90.4 Other malabsorption due to intolerance – INVALID
K90.41 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code K90.41 Non-celiac gluten sensitivity
K90.49 is a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code K90.49 Malabsorption due to intolerance, not elsewhere classified
